Description: The piece is called “Innocence”. It is a realism portrait representing childhood with a medium of charcoal and paper collage on cardboard. I am 15 years old!

Judge #3- Interesting that the artist chose to create this on cardboard, which is such a temporary canvas, to expertly depict a temporary time in development. Butterflies are a nice touch to also make the viewer think about the stages of growth. I did find the wreath a bit distracting.
Judge #2 I know it says “Tufts”, but I couldn’t help make an association with “Tough,” The artist created a little girl who looks energetic and confident. Also, ready to go out and play in the mud with the boys. That is contrasted with the flowery head band and the butterflies. But that is childhood. Hopefully, a child gets to play out many possibilities and it doesn’t matter if they don’t always fit together. Well executed and full of life.
